Yuyutsu was a son of Dhritarashtra, the king of Hastinapura and Gandhari. Despite being born to a vaishya woman, Yuyutsu was raised in the royal palace and was considered a Kaurava prince. During the Kurukshetra war, Yuyutsu chose to side with the Pandavas, and fought on their side against his own brothers.
